Students attending university in the UK are entitled to register with a GP for NHS services which are free at the point of access (both GP and hospital-based services). In Northern Ireland prescription medications are also free!

The University Health Centre at Queen's is an independent GP practice which registers both students and the general public living in our catchment area (BT1 - BT12 AND BT17). QUB has no access to your medical records and we do not share information with the University unless you ask us to do so (confidentiality would only be breached in the rare and extreme circumstances when not to do so would constitute a serious health risk to you or others!).

We do have an affiliation with QUB which allows us to act as an advocate for our patients who are students at the University including the supply of medical evidence (with your consent) to the University when there are medical extenuating circumstances affecting you studies. As a practice we have a lot of experience working with the University and how a student's health can affect their studies (both positively and negatively!) and, vice versa how the student's studies can affect their health. We believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being whilst you are a student at university.

Please note:  ALL QUB STUDENTS registering - MUST ALSO read the QUB Guidance for Registration tab.

PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO ATTEND THE PRACTICE IF YOU ARE SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19
